The Second Revolutionary War
“For what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet loses his soul?” “Or again, what can a man give in exchange for his soul?” Wise words from the Lord Himself; that is, if one is to consider His words as worthy of one’s life and love.
Enter 2021.
For those of you reading this piece, you may be wondering about the title and where it is leading. It’s funny how one’s perceptions can be changed in a moment of time; and how does that happen outside of ourselves? Some would call it an Epiphany. Well, that’s why I am writing this. This morning, while lying in bed, I was given a viewpoint that I previously had not been able to see. Isn’t that strange. We all live in the same world. We all hear and see, with the help of constant media, a never ending stream of happenings, and events, all through the filter of whatever worldview you have prescribed to or in which you believe.
How is it that our mind and heart sometime need a little push, a little revelation; if I can be so bold to call it that. Oh, but that would mean that there is something or someone greater than me in order for me to gain knowledge or insight, or just being able to see what is there all the time, but cannot be perceived in my present state of blindness. Without the help of someone to remove the blinders, I may not see that which was previously beyond my ability to recognize. If I admit that by myself, and without the help, guidance, and inspiration of others, I could not advance in my thinking, and without allowing the voice of instruction to break though my inner arrogance, I would be unteachable. So, all of this preface is to let you know that I believe that this article was given to me to write, and for you, the reader to decide for yourselves if the contents are worthy of your time and consideration.
I don’t feel the need to go over all the tense, disturbing, anxious and perplexing events and dialogue that has taken place over the last 4 years and even before. Most have been engrossed in keeping up with the constant barrage of news and verbal warfare due to the many sources of media all around us and with us. One would have to make a constant concerted effort in order to avoid keeping pace with the world at large; and I’m sure that there are those who have done just that in order to maintain a semblance of peace in their lives; even if it is only imagined.
So here are some of the world’s past, present and future that I have perceived and wish to reveal to you.
In the Revolutionary War; I’m calling it the first Revolutionary War, we, the patriots, were pitted against a much hated and common enemy. One would say the British; but there was also a much more insidious enemy, one that is common to all men who long to be free. I’m talking about the ever present enemy of oppression and tyranny, that even in the best of times is behind the scenes smoldering and plotting it’s return. One might ask, it’s return to do what? Why to continue it’s lust for power of course! It’s interesting that this enemy cannot attain the goal of dominion without the eager participation of men who don’t mind becoming the hosts of such a malevolent spirit.
We fought the war. We were convinced that it was a just war. There was much hardship, much pain and sacrifice, disease and death. A war between the oppressor and the oppressed. Each side convinced that they were in the right, that God was on their side. We hated them for their Authoritarianism. They hated us for our rebellion against authority. They hated our form of warfare, our cowardly hiding behind rocks and trees to fire upon their troops, who in full regalia stood like paper targets in the open field of battle. Where was our honor, our dignity, that they demanded from themselves as well as from us, their enemy when the line was drawn for battle? In other words, we were cheating! Was there no low in which we would not stoop in order to win? Disgraceful! This must have made the Redcoats even more determined to rout this band of low class, rag tag combatants. So the war raged on. One well equipped side against a struggling mass of poorly trained miscreants who wouldn’t give up even when it was apparent that any hope of victory was unseemly; and until Washington rallied the troops for a final battle at Yorktown, seemed impossible. We however persevered, and win we did; and as a proper cleansing for this brand new nation, and with resolute determination,
we rounded up the Tories, (the loyalists) and sent them by ship back to England and other points of destinations like New Guinea. I guess you could call that a Nationalistic way of dealing with deplorables in your midst instead of just marginalizing them.
Now lets fast forward to today.
The second Revolutionary War
This war began many years ago. Some might say it was during the 60’s with the hippie generation. It may have been then that the seeds of discontent were sown. It wasn’t until that generation grew up and took the maturity of that quiet rebellion into the positions of power in our society. Almost imperceptibly, things began to change in the hearts and minds of America. What are the places of power that would serve as to cause the greatest change to the people and long held truths and laws of our once great nation? To name a few: Judge ships, pastors and teachers, college professors, industry heads, politicians, lobbyists, governors, mayors, and yes, even the POTUS.
To understand what the word “politics” means, it is the desire, the yearnings, the beliefs of a governed people that determines their worldview, and therefore the party they support that most accurately embraces those virtues. I’m not sure how the words “right”, and the “left” became to be, but as we all know they represent the conservative and the liberal parties of America. We also know that the conservative party is synonymous with God, guns, law and order, and patriotism. The liberal party is synonymous with rebellion, personal freedom at all costs, a form of godliness, activism, and virtue signaling. It’s no wonder that the two parties, Republican and Democrat have problems getting along, as the worldviews that they represent are diametrically opposed to one another. Fifty years ago, before the silent war began, the main point of voting was to determine which party’s candidate could best accomplish the goals as were commonly agreed upon by both parties. Since then, the worldviews of the two party system have changed so radically as to cancel the possibility of cooperation or compromise; to the point of what we now see as warfare. Most of us have heard the motto of, “all is fair in love and war.” Well, that is exactly what has been taking place for the last decade in our political system. Most of us were not aware of it until Trump was elected. Then the “cat was out of the bag”, so to speak. I personally believe that God orchestrated his election in order to bring the corruption of men’s hearts to the surface and do away with any pretense.
The second Revolutionary War was fought on November 3rd, 2020, and won by the Democratic Party. These revolutionaries were also fighting against a foe that they viewed as unbearably oppressive. One whose ideas and beliefs of law and order, civility, common sense and governance bordered on the edge of dictatorship and tyranny. Something had to be done to stop them. The weapon of warfare in this conflict was the vote. Not with swords and guns like used to be done in a more "uncivilized" era of humanity. In a parallel eerily like the first Revolutionary War, one side was accused of not fighting fair; even being accused of cheating. Their opponent stood with heads held high and demanded that the battle be fought according to the long held traditions of civility and the rules and laws of voting combat. In light of the present chaos, that hope was foolhardy at best and futile at worst. The winning side stood victorious; wondering what all the fuss and accusations by it’s opponents were. After all, wouldn’t “all is fair in love and war” apply in this instance? All the whining and complaining about being bested by the side that clearly cheated after the tally was counted, fell on deaf ears. Get over yourselves! Stop wasting our time and yours by all this digging up of evidence of voter fraud, illegal ballots, vote changing by high tech and the like! What world are you guys living in? Bring your lawsuits to our judges and we will simply dismiss them. You lost! Now we need to get on with the governing of our great nation and getting things back to normal now that we are rid of our arch enemy, Trump, and his horrible cult of mentally ill followers. The only question left is: how do we get rid of his followers so that we can be free to start this country anew; or what can we do to deprogram them? If we can’t do that then all that's left is to marginalize them until they align with us and our worldviews. That is the only way we will have peace and unity in the world again. If that doesn’t work, then maybe just squash them and their ideals until they fade into the background. I don’t think we could send them all away with the present Covid restrictions….or could we?
So the big difference in this war was that after 240 or so years, the original patriots were now classified as the stodgy, unyielding oppressors of the establishment; while the new patriots had taken on the persona of the real freedom fighters, whose time had finally come, to once and for all do away with the previous founder’s worldview, way of life, and tenants of faith of which they so firmly hated.
This wasn’t just a nation whose time in history had reached an end, but one in which the “prince of this world” had finally found a way to notch a victory. Let us never forget that he often triumphs, but never conquers.
If this article has confused you or made you wonder about where I stand on this matter, I am a conservative Christian who doesn’t mind being the devils’ advocate at times in order to get my point across.
